RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

David updated the B Rally website to include the logo in a downloadable format. You can go here: B Rally Website and copy the file. Then you can print it onto anything that you want. It's available in a couple of different sizes. Happy Printing!

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

Hi Billee Just sent me a PM with your mailing address and I'll send you a transfer. I'm printing them today, although I have grandkids coming later and may not get them mailed until Monday. Or, if you have transfer paper, send me your email address and I'll send you the JPEG file and you can print as many as you want. You do need to contact the Bar M and make reservations for dinner on Sunday. Their phone number is 1-800-214-2085. We're looking forward to meeting all of you in just a few weeks now!

RE: Convenience Food

For easy lunches on the road we make ramen noodle soup and throw in leftover meat and veggies. It's quick and filling. Make prepackaged white cheddar macaroni and cheese as directed on the package. add about a teaspoon of Good Seasons Garlic and Herb dressing mix (dry packaged stuff),then add ham, or cooked shrimp, or cooked chicken pieces, and some veggies like peas or broccoli. That's one of my favorite quickie meals at home and on the road. I guess neither of these are frozen meals, but they're just as fast.

RE: My little Doxie is very sick. Cause unknown.

I am so sorry that your little Maggie passed. I hope you'll have comfort in knowing that you made her last years comfortable and filled with love.

RE: Who does the planning

We do as little planning as possible.(More time spent planning what to have for dinner than where to have it.) One of the best things about being on the road is the freedom to be spontaneous. Of course sometimes we've agreed to meet up with people and be somewhere by a certain time, but we try to do as little of this as possible. It's great to give into all temptations, to turn into the interesting dirt side tracks we pass. Schedules are for work, not play! Wow, someone else who thinks like we do..... :)

RE: What to do when dog loses favorite human?

I think they miss their humans for a very long time. When I first met my spouse, it was about a year after his first wife passed away. Her poodle, Max, still sat by the door every evening (over a year later) waiting for her to come home from work. He never gave up until he passed away (at the age of 17) about 3 years later. Everyone at the vet's office was in tears when he was euthanized, in my spouse's arms, with "dad" telling him it was OK to go - mom was waiting. Shoot.... I still cry just typing it and it's 5 years later!

RE: YEA!! Darn dog 'strollers' banned!

I always thought the dog strollers were kinda dumb anyway. If you have an elderly dog that can't get around, then it's probably a good idea for being able to get them out to socialize. However, for a healthy dog, it just doesn't make much sense at all.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

I was just looking at the Moab weather history. I see the average high temp for October is 83 and the average low is 39. That's about perfect for me! Warm sunny days and nice cool evening. Be sure you all bring a warm jacket for evenings and a nice warm quilt for bedtime!

RE: I need side view pics of B's for the B Out West social logo

Hey, that Roadtrek wallpaper site has some great photos, thanks for bringing that to my attention. I didn't see that when I was looking at their site yesterday.

RE: I need side view pics of B's for the B Out West social logo

Hi Anne, Yeah, we've been looking at all the manufacturer's sites. Most of them don't have a full side on view, they're all from an angle. However, I think we have found enough for now. Hopefully this will turn out like we want! Chino has to leave town Friday morning early, so I told him I need this done before he goes.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

I'm sorry to hear about your sale Marty. We've been stuck with 2 houses for 2 years now. Ours is going back on the market in the next week or two. The realtor is telling us average 120 days in the Twin Cities area right now. However, he does see a glimmer of hope on the horizon and there has been a slight increase in existing home sales in the past 6 weeks. I'm sure something will work out for you! I sure hope you make it to Moab!

I need side view pics of B's for the B Out West social logo

I went through the previous picture thread and pulled out a few, but I need side view pictures (without awnings or popups deployed) of various brands of B's. We need these for the logo that Chino is working on for the upcoming event in Moab. If anyone would be willing to provide me with side view photos, it would be much appreciated. These won't be identifiable in the logo, it'll just be the silhouette used. Of course, I have lots of Sprinter B pics (he takes more pictures of the B than he does of me) but I need the other models too. Is anyone willing to search their photo stash to see if they have anything that we can use? Thanks!

RE: Tips on Grilling Shrimp

Servings: 4 • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice • 2/3 cup light soy sauce • 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon sugar • 2 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger • 2 teaspoons sesame oil • 1.5 pounds large shrimp, shelled Rinse shrimp and drain well. Pat dry. Combine, lemon and lime juices, soy sauce, sugar, ginger and sesame oil in a wide shallow glass bowl. Add shrimp and marinate, covered, at room temperature for no more than 10 minutes each side. Skewer shrimps onto soaked bamboo skewers. Reserve marinade. Grill shrimp over hot grill, just 2-3 minutes per side, depending on how large they are. Add marinade to small skillet and bring to a boil and reduce to about 1/3 cup. Drizzle shrimp with sauce and serve immediately with rice pilaf and and a green salad.

RE: Dogs eating grass? Why?

All of our dogs like it, and I see the cat eating it sometimes too. We're out in the country with no neighbors, and we don't use any fertilizer or pesticide, so I just let them munch. It's funny, they don't do it all the time, just every once an a while.

RE: First (annual?) B Out West Social event

Hopefully the tables will be movable. We just need one or two for setting out our potluck meal. My card table isn't really very big, but I thought it might come in handy. I don't know about the fire, we always have some firewood in the back of the van and I'm sure we can buy some locally. The issue will be the local forestry department. If it's been a dry summer up there they could ban fires, I've seen it happen a lot out west - and this place is only a mile or two from a national park.
